In order to implement the spirit of the school's "Three Major and One Big" decision-making requirements, our college held the first meeting of the 2014 secondary representative assembly of the School of Statistics and Management on June 3, 2014, at 3:00 PM in room 1208. The main agenda of the meeting was to conduct a democratic vote on a new reward method related to the direct interests of faculty and staff, after extensively soliciting opinions from faculty and staff and through discussion and approval by the college’s "Professor Committee."
The meeting was presided over by the union chairman Shao Jianli.
At the meeting, Dean Zhou Yong of the college first introduced the background for the modifications of the new regulations: "Shanghai University of Finance and Economics School of Statistics and Management Research Award Regulations," "Implementation Details of Teaching Compensation in the School of Statistics and Management (Draft)," "Interim Measures for Thesis Guidance Fees and Defense Fees in the School of Statistics and Management of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics," and "Trial Measures for Position Subsidies and Administrative Staff Bonuses for Dual-role Personnel in the School of Statistics and Management of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics," and sought everyone's opinions.
Next, a vote will be conducted by the formal representatives present.
The number of formal representatives expected at the meeting (faculty and staff of the college) was 46, with 36 actual representatives present.
After the voting, the results were counted on site by union committee members Bai Yang, Zuo Nan, and teacher Wang Yuenan. All four regulations were passed with a high vote.
At this point, the first meeting of the 2014 Secondary Representative Assembly of the College has successfully concluded.
