On the evening of May 8th, the final of the "Golden Wing Cup" Campus Short Play Competition was held as scheduled at our university's Student Art Center. Teams from six colleges in the school entered the final with their outstanding performances in the preliminary rounds.
The "Golden Wing Cup" is one of the most eye-catching activities in our school's cultural and artistic events, and has always received enthusiastic praise from teachers and students. This year's theme is "Meeting _____." After nearly two months of preparation, each college has repeatedly refined its script, striving to perfectly present its understanding of the phrase "meeting" to the audience.
The play by the School of Statistics and Management, "What Kind of Dialogue Will We Have When We Meet," features its fifth performance. The story tells of five patients with varying degrees of psychological disorders undergoing treatment by the hospital director and nursing staff. In the end, there is a major twist revealing that these five patients and the director are actually the same person. This person then appears and tells everyone that no matter what flaws and shortcomings they have, the self they encounter is the best version of themselves, and they should learn to embrace themselves.
Finally, after careful selection by the judges, the School of Statistics and Management won the first prize in the "Golden Wing Cup" campus short play competition and received the award for Best Original Script. This victory in the Golden Wing Cup is the fourth time that the students of Statistics and Management have won the championship in the past five years of the competition.
