On the afternoon of May 10, the School of Statistics and Management held a signing ceremony for the cooperation between Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Shanghai Wind Information Technology Co., Ltd. in Room 316. Chen Hong, Deputy Party Secretary of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics; Zhou Yong, Dean of the School of Statistics and Management; Tu Tianfeng, Secretary; You Jinhong, Deputy Dean; Wang Ti, Deputy Secretary; and representatives of young teachers from the School of Statistics and Management attended the ceremony. Zhou Li, Vice President of Wind Information Group, and a group of 10 participated in the signing ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by You Jinhong, Deputy Dean of the college.
The Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Chen Hong, first delivered a welcome speech. He thanked Wind Information for its support of the talent cultivation work at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and congratulated both parties on the successful signing of the agreement. He stated that in recent years, the School of Statistics and Management has achieved remarkable results in both scientific research and talent cultivation, truly embodying the principle of "integrating internal and external development." He hopes that the School of Statistics and Management and Wind Information can explore more cooperation models to promote a new level of school-enterprise collaboration.
Next, Zhou Li, Vice President of Wind Information Group, spoke on behalf of the Wind Information Group. Accompanying him is Jiang Wenyuan, the Technical Director of Product BU2 at Wind Information, who is an alumnus of the School of Statistics and Management. Graduating in 2001 from the Department of Mathematical Statistics, she has performed exceptionally well in her work, and the cases around him have made Vice President Zhou Li greatly appreciate the talent cultivation efforts of the School of Statistics and Management. He stated that the School of Statistics and Management has provided many talents for the financial information service industry, and he is honored to establish a cooperative relationship with the School today. He hopes that both parties can deepen cooperation to jointly build a high ground for talent training and internships.
Dean Zhou Yong of the School of Statistics and Management welcomed and expressed gratitude to Wind Information Group on behalf of the school. He introduced the development history of the statistics discipline at our university and the achievements made in school-enterprise cooperation. He stated that first-class discipline construction relies on high-quality talent cultivation, and school-enterprise cooperation can provide students with a high-quality training platform, aiding the college's talent cultivation efforts. He hopes that both parties can leverage this cooperation platform to achieve mutual benefits.
At 4 PM, the signing ceremony officially began. Dean of the School of Statistics and Management Zhou Yong and Vice President of Wind Information Group Zhou Li signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties.
After the signing ceremony, both parties held a salon discussion on "Methodology of Credit Reporting and Big Data." Teachers from the School of Statistics and Management, You Jinhong, Huang Tao, Chen Yan, Cui Xiangyu, and Zhang Zhiyuan, participated in the salon and exchanged views on academic hot topics with the other party.
Shanghai Wind Information Co., Ltd. was established in 1994 and is a key software enterprise, high-tech enterprise, and "little giant" of science and technology as planned by the national layout. It is a leading provider of financial data and analytical tools in China. According to the cooperation agreement, Wind Information collaborates with the School of Statistics and Management to establish a social practice base for undergraduates and postgraduates. The partner will provide internship and job opportunities for students in the School of Statistics and Management, and send industry professionals to participate in the school’s industry forums, case courses, and more.
Recently, the School of Statistics and Management has achieved significant results in school-enterprise cooperation. Last month, the college officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hangzhou Tongdun Technology Company. Establishing a cooperative relationship with enterprises allows the school to fully utilize the resources of these businesses in teaching, enabling the school to cultivate talent that is tailored to the development of the enterprise, while also benefiting the enterprise in selecting outstanding talent from students participating in practical activities.
