To deepen the collaboration between the university and enterprises and implement the educational reform project for the Statistics major - the Bingwen Plan, on May 19, 2017, our college's Vice Dean Wu Chunjie, along with counselors Yao Liming and Wang Yuqin, led students from the experimental classes of 2014 and 2015 to visit SAS Institute (Beijing) Co., Ltd. located in the Wealth Financial Center in Beijing.

SAS is a leader in the field of data analysis. By providing innovative analytics, business intelligence, and data management software and services, SAS helps over 83,000 users worldwide make better and faster decisions. Since 1976, SAS has been offering the power of knowledge (THE POWER TO KNOW®) to customers around the globe. The students in the experimental class visited and experienced the work environment and atmosphere of SAS Software (Beijing) Co., Ltd. under the guidance of SAS employees.

During the visit, students engaged in friendly conversations with SAS employees and curiously browsed through the various solutions provided by SAS, gaining a tangible understanding of the application of statistical analysis in a real business environment. At the same time, everyone reviewed the promotional materials for the SAS competition, and several students who registered for this year's SAS competition were eager to demonstrate their skills and aim for new achievements.

Subsequently, the students met with Mr. Sean O’Brien, the Vice President of Educational Programs at SAS Institute Inc., in the Training Room for a friendly conversation. Mr. O’Brien introduced the current state of global education at SAS and expressed his hopes for the students to seize the opportunities presented by the new wave of statistical computing.

In light of the current global development context, collaboration between academia and industry, as well as professional development, is imperative.
