On December 14-15, our school's Admissions Office, in conjunction with the School of Statistics and Management, went to Henan Province to sign contracts with six well-known high schools and hold the inauguration ceremony for the "Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Excellent Talent Source Base."
The Deputy Director of the Admissions Office, Peng Xi, the Deputy Secretary of the School of Statistics and Management, Wang Ti, and the Associate Dean of the School of Statistics and Management, You Jinhong, along with a group of 4, successively visited six high schools: Zhengzhou Foreign Language School, Henan Provincial Experimental High School, Zhengzhou No. 1 High School, Xihua County No. 1 Senior High School, Taikang County No. 1 Senior High School, and Henan Huaiyang High School, delivering presentations at some of the schools.
Before the signing and listing, Deputy Director of the Admissions Office Peng Xi represented the university to deliver a promotional presentation for local students. He provided detailed explanations on three aspects: the enrollment policy of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, the talent cultivation plan, and employment situation. After the presentation, local students and parents interacted with the university delegation. Through the presentation, the attending students gained a deeper understanding of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and expressed great interest in applying to the university. Many students stated that they previously knew little about Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, but now realize it is a prestigious institution worth pursuing, "as we look forward to the centenary of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics."
Subsequently, the school delegation signed a contract and awarded a plaque to the excellent talent training base.
The "Outstanding Student Source Base of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics" aims to strengthen the connection between Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and nationally renowned senior high schools, establishing a long-term cooperative mechanism for both parties to actively select, deliver, and jointly cultivate outstanding students, thus building a high-quality platform. Students from the Outstanding Student Source Base can not only receive timely information regarding admissions and enrollment at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics but also enjoy summer camps organized by the university, visiting and studying at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. In addition, the school will arrange for experts to give subject lectures at the Outstanding Student Source Base as appropriate. Within the scope permitted by relevant policies of the Ministry of Education, priority will be given to students from the Outstanding Student Source Base in various special types of admissions such as independent enrollment, high-level art groups, high-level athletes, and recommended students. The construction of the Outstanding Student Source Base not only helps attract excellent students but also expands the influence and reputation of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics nationwide.
The signing and unveiling ceremony of the outstanding student source base received strong support from the Henan Provincial Alumni Association.
