In the golden autumn of October, it is the season of harvest. The School of Statistics and Management has also achieved unprecedented success in building its faculty team.
This year, a total of 11 teachers joined the family of the School of Statistics and Management. The young research backbone talents from both domestic and international sources that the school has actively recruited will greatly enhance the research and teaching strengths of the college, improving the overall strength of the university in the field of statistics, especially in the area of big data statistical scientific research.
The college's party and administrative leadership teams highly value the future development and planning of new young teachers. On September 27, 2016, a seminar for new teachers was organized, attended by Dean Zhou Yong, Party Secretary Tu Tianfeng, Vice Dean You Jinhong, Vice Dean Wu Chunjie, Deputy Secretary Wang Ti, Union Chairman Shao Jianli, Director of the Applied Statistics Department Feng Xingdong, Director of the Statistics Department Huang Tao, Director of the Economic Statistics Department Chang Ning, and Director of the Financial Statistics and Risk Management Department Chen Yan.

The college party and administrative leaders, in conjunction with the school's personnel handbook, introduced policies regarding teacher assessment, title evaluation, and other related aspects to the new faculty members. Dean Zhou Yong provided an overview of the college's discipline development and talent cultivation, expressing high expectations for the new faculty to prioritize teaching work while engaging in teaching, research, and social services. Each department head presented the development and planning of their respective departments, reminding new faculty to begin preparations for applications for social sciences and natural sciences funding as soon as possible. The union president introduced the welfare policies of our school regarding the enrollment of teachers' children and other related benefits.

The conference also emphasized that teachers, while educating and nurturing students, should strengthen their self-cultivation in terms of teacher ethics and academic standards.

This seminar will help new teachers quickly integrate into the various tasks of the college.
