On November 19, 2019, at 12:00 noon, the School of Statistics and Management held a special learning salon in Meeting Room 1316, inviting external advisor Teacher Xu Bo to conduct a salon on "How to Communicate with College Students." All party and administrative leaders of the college, student counselors, part-time class teachers for 2019 and 2018 undergraduate students, as well as teaching and administrative staff actively registered, with a total of 20 participants in this salon. At the beginning of the salon, the college's Party Secretary Teacher Xue Liang presented Teacher Xu Bo with an appointment letter on behalf of the college and expressed warm welcome and gratitude for Teacher Xu's attendance.

The "Psychological Growth Power" studio is dedicated to helping new students adapt to their school stage, fully mobilizing their intrinsic motivation, and actively exploring self-development. The purpose of this salon is to help teachers better understand the personality traits of post-2000 students, master communication skills, and better explore the effectiveness of teacher-student communication.

In the subject presentation, Teacher Xu Bo began with a survey of new employees in the workplace, discussing the need for young students to feel "seen" and "heard." He introduced the important DISC behavioral style model in communication and engaged the teachers in a small on-site activity to perceive their own types and the possible types of students. They discussed which communication skills should be noted for different types of students and addressed concerns raised by the teachers regarding their work. The lively explanation and rich examples provided the attending teachers with a lot of insights. In the future, the studio will continue to regularly carry out psychology learning activities for teachers, combining with actual work progress.
