On July 1, 2017, the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics School of Statistics and Management Alumni Summit Forum was held at the School of Statistics and Management. Qin Liping, Chief Economist of the Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission and a statistics alumnus; Lu Yongwei, Chairman of Shanghai Bohua Investment Co., Ltd. and a statistics alumnus; and Li Xunlei, Chief Economist of Zhongtai Securities Co., Ltd. and a statistics alumnus, were invited to attend the forum and gave wonderful presentations to the alumni. The forum was hosted by Yang Jianmin, Secretary-General of the Alumni Association of the School of Statistics and Management, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
To celebrate the centenary of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, the School of Statistics and Management, leveraging the establishment date of the Alumni Association, fully utilizes alumni resources to conduct academic discussions, strengthen in-depth communication among alumni, and reflect the characteristics of "academic celebration, cultural celebration, and public welfare celebration."
Chief Economist Qin Liping of the Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission presented a report titled "New Concepts and New Development - Interpretation of Shanghai's '13th Five-Year' National Economic and Social Development Plan" to the alumni present. She started from the guiding ideology for economic and social development in Shanghai during the "13th Five-Year" period and introduced Shanghai's development ideas and key measures from five aspects: innovative development, coordinated development, green development, open development, and shared development.
Lu Yongwei, Chairman of Shanghai Bohua Investment Co., Ltd., delivered a report on "2017 Investment Market Review and Current Operations." He respectively introduced the stock market, futures market, real estate market, alternative investment market, the rise and vigorous development of the fixed income market, the development of private equity investment funds, as well as their understanding and operations concerning the market.
Li Xunlei, Chief Economist of Zhongtai Securities Co., Ltd., presented the report "Trends and Structural Opportunities of China's Economy in the Second Half of the Year," using a six-dimensional analytical method to assess China's macroeconomy from external variables, medium- and long-term factors, and internal variables.
