On June 3, 2017, with the strong support of the Shanghai Finance University Henan Alumni Association, our university's Vice President Fang Hua, Party Secretary of the School of Continuing Education Zhang Yanbo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Statistics and Management Wang Ti, Deputy Director of the Cooperation and Development Department Yang Jingshu, Deputy Director of the Cooperation and Development Department Wang Feng, and staff member Fu Mingwei from the Alumni Association Office of the Cooperation and Development Department engaged in a communication exchange meeting with the principals of outstanding source bases such as Henan Experimental Middle School, Zhengzhou Foreign Language School, Zhengzhou No. 1 Middle School, Huaiyang Middle School of Henan Province, Taikang No. 1 High School of Henan Province, and Xihua No. 1 High School of Henan Province. This was to further consolidate and strengthen the construction of outstanding source bases for Shanghai Finance University, enhance the connection with key middle schools in Henan Province, and improve the visibility and influence of Shanghai Finance University in Henan Province, attracting more high-quality student sources.
Vice President Fang Hua of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics expressed a warm welcome on behalf of the school to the attending principals of various high schools, thanking them for their long-standing strong support for the development of the university. He provided a detailed introduction on the university's development situation, talent training, student employment, cooperative development, and alumni organizations. Over the years, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics has placed great emphasis on the development of basic education in Henan, with more than 60 high school students entering up to now. In 2017, the enrollment plan and policy of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in Henan will remain stable, and the university will continue to pay attention to and support Henan students.
According to the work arrangement, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics will organize experts and scholars to conduct consulting work in several excellent source base high schools through lectures, policy explanations, and other methods.
The principals of each middle school provided detailed introductions to their school profiles, educational philosophy, unique characteristics, and achievements, and hoped to use the establishment of an "excellent student source base" as an opportunity to deepen cooperation with our school. They aim to send more outstanding students to our school and look forward to our school organizing more lectures by teachers at the base for middle school students on a regular basis.
In December 2016, as the enrollment corresponding province for the School of Statistics and Management, the School of Statistics and Management cooperated with the Admissions Office to visit Henan Province and signed contracts with the six well-known high schools mentioned above. In the future, our school will continue to promote the construction of outstanding student source bases, enrich the connotation of cooperation, explore the establishment of a long-term mechanism for communication and cooperation, and provide a high-quality guarantee for undergraduate sources for the development of the school.
