From May 20 to 21, 2021, Vice Dean Wu Chunjie and Office Director Cai Lixia from the School of Statistics and Management at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics visited Guyuan City and Yinchuan City in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region to conduct undergraduate enrollment promotion activities, representing the university in awarding the "Outstanding Source Base for Students of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics" plaque to Guyuan No. 1 Middle School and Yinchuan No. 9 Middle School, and holding a seminar.
On May 20th, the awarding ceremony for the excellent student source base of Ningxia Guyuan No. 1 High School was held at Ningxia Guyuan No. 1 High School. Vice Principal He Chengjiang and Director of the Academic Affairs Office Guo Xigui attended the seminar and the awarding ceremony.
Before the ceremony began, He Chengjiang, the vice principal of Ningxia Guyuan No. 1 Middle School, introduced the school's history and the brilliant achievements it has made in recent years, and expressed a warm welcome to Shanghai University of Finance and Economics for designating Ningxia Guyuan No. 1 Middle School as an excellent talent source base.
Subsequently, Wu Chunjie, the associate dean of the School of Statistics and Management, introduced the basic situation of our school from aspects including the development history, construction of the faculty, talent cultivation, enrollment plan, and graduate employment. He emphasized the important significance of establishing an excellent talent source base and highly praised the achievements of Ningxia Guyuan No. 1 Middle School in recent years. In the past three years, many outstanding students from Ningxia Guyuan No. 1 Middle School have been admitted to Shanghai University of Finance and Economics for further study, and he hopes to further strengthen cooperation in the future to jointly write a new chapter in high-quality talent cultivation in the new era and under new circumstances.
At the awarding ceremony, Vice President Wu Chunjie represented Shanghai University of Finance and Economics to grant the "Excellent Talent Source Base" plaque to Ningxia Guyuan No. 1 Middle School.
After the award ceremony, both parties visited the history museum of Ningxia Guyuan No. 1 Middle School and the beautiful campus.
On May 21, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics held a plaque presentation ceremony for the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Yinchuan Ninth Middle School Outstanding Talent Base at the high school department of Yinchuan Ninth Middle School. Vice Principal Lv Li and Director of the Academic Affairs Office Wang Zhanjun of Yinchuan Ninth Middle School attended the forum and the plaque presentation ceremony.
Before the plaque ceremony began, Vice Principal Lv Li of Yinchuan No. 9 Middle School introduced the school's history and talent cultivation situation. She highly acknowledged the efforts of universities to strengthen enrollment promotion and to develop outstanding student source regions, welcoming the collaboration with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics to establish an outstanding student source base.
At the seminar, Deputy Principal Lü Li of Yinchuan No. 9 Middle School stated that universities conducting specialized science popularization lectures and admission consultations in middle schools is very helpful for students to gain an early understanding of their future academic planning. Deputy Dean Wu Chunjie expressed that our school will strengthen recruitment publicity and related lectures on financial literacy based on the needs of No. 9 Middle School.
At the plaque awarding ceremony, the deputy representative of the School of Statistics and Management presented the plaque for "Outstanding Talent Base" to Yinchuan No. 9 Middle School on behalf of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
As of now, our school has awarded plaques to and co-built excellent talent bases with several middle schools in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, establishing a communication bridge for the consistent talent cultivation between middle schools and higher education institutions. Our school will disseminate information about our institution to outstanding students dedicated to the financial and economic fields through activities such as science popularization lectures, enrollment presentations, and college entrance exam consultation.
