On November 9, a delegation of four people from the Shanghai Data Trading Center, including President Tang Qifeng, Vice President Zhang Minchong, and partner Shen Xiangyu, visited our institute's Big Data Statistical Science Center. Attending the meeting were our institute's Dean Zhou Yong, Assistant Dean Feng Xingdong, Huang Tao, and junior teacher representatives Chen Yan, Bai Yang, and Cui Xiangyu.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dean Zhou Yong introduced the overview of our school's statistics discipline and the Big Data Statistical Science Center. Professor Feng Xingdong presented a PPT on the recent construction of the Big Data Statistical Science Center.
President Tang Qifeng introduced the large-scale data applications of the Shanghai Data Trading Center to the attendees. The applications mainly consist of three aspects: internal data sharing within the government, integration of government and enterprise data, and business data connectivity. In addition to the data platform, the Shanghai Data Trading Center has "three legs": an application demonstration center, a research institute, and a fund.
Both parties expressed that they could learn from each other and seek cooperation possibilities in research directions. Dean Zhou invited the other party to participate in the construction of our center's research platform to jointly build a laboratory. Mr. Tang stated that he is very willing to cooperate in multiple areas with the Big Data Statistical Science Center, and the Shanghai Data Trading Center is willing to provide data, technology, funding, and other support for the scientific research and talent training work of the Big Data Statistical Science Center.
Both parties conducted an in-depth discussion on the collaboration model. At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed the desire to draft a cooperation framework agreement to establish a regular and effective collaboration model to jointly promote big data research and application.
