According to the latest news, in the "Huawei Cup" 15th National Graduate Mathematical Modeling Competition, the team consisting of Chen Shanhua, Deng Xing, and Liang Siyun from the School of Statistics and Management at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, along with the team of Ma Junyu and Lu Yi, won the national first prize. In addition, 7 teams from the college won the second prize, and 9 teams won the third prize.
The 15th "Huawei Cup" National Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition was successfully held in September this year. A total of 12,207 teams of graduate students from 439 universities in 32 provinces, municipalities, and regions across the country, including Hong Kong and Macao, participated in the competition, with approximately 1,500 doctoral students among them. After a month and a half of evaluation through online and centralized review stages, the participating teams were selected for the national first, second, and third prizes.
As one of the thematic competitions of the "China Graduate Innovation Practice Series Competition," jointly organized by the Degree and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education and the Youth Science and Technology Center of the China Association for Science and Technology, the China Graduate Mathematical Modeling Competition is an academic competition aimed at graduate students for the application and research of mathematical modeling. It serves as a broad platform for graduate students to enhance their ability to establish mathematical models and use internet information technology to solve practical problems, cultivate research innovation spirit and teamwork awareness. It is currently the graduate competition with the widest influence and the largest number of participants in China.
