On May 24, 2016, the Party General Branch of the School of Statistics and Management held a special study and exchange meeting on "Two Studies and One Action" in meeting room 1316 of the college. The meeting was chaired by Secretary Tu Tianfeng, and all faculty and staff Communist Party members of the School of Statistics and Management attended the meeting.

Secretary Tu first interpreted the connotation of "Two Studies, One Action," pointed out the important significance of studying "Two Studies, One Action," and emphasized the obligations and responsibilities of party members. He stressed the need to maintain a high degree of consistency in thoughts, politics, and actions with the Party Central Committee led by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and to deeply study and profoundly understand the Party's theories, guidelines, and policies.

At the meeting, Zhang Mingfang, a committee member of the School of Statistics and Management, mentioned that to be a qualified party member, one must first do their job well, which is teaching and educating students. This means preparing lessons diligently before class, actively answering questions after class, and being responsible for the students. Secondly, one must perform the duties of a committee member of the college party branch, seriously organizing and carrying out branch activities to serve each party member. Teacher Sun Yunwu, a committee member who will retire in the second half of the year, also shared her journey of joining the party, pointing out that joining the Communist Party of China is a solemn and sacred matter, and it is essential to remember the Party constitution and regulations, as well as the pledge made upon joining the party.

On the morning of May 23, Deputy Secretary Wang conducted a party class for student party branch secretaries based on the "Two Studies and One Action". Teacher Wang emphasized that qualified student party members should adhere to several requirements: first, they must have a spirit of integrity, not default on tuition and miscellaneous fees, and should repay student loans honestly; second, they should maintain good academic ethics, regulate basic academic behaviors, and maintain a correct and good attitude in scientific research; third, as student party members, they must abide by the Party Constitution and regulations, and pay Party dues on time; fourth, they should be disciplined and compliant party members.

Through this "Two Studies, One Action" educational learning, the party members have strengthened their party character cultivation, further studied the Party Constitution and regulations, solidified their ideals and beliefs, and ensured that they maintain a high level of consistency with the Party both in thought and in action.
