On the afternoon of April 28, the School of Statistics and Management held a career planning month series event, a workplace character salon: "What is the experience of working at the Big Four?". Given that many of our university's undergraduate graduates choose to work in the Big Four accounting firms, we invited alumni Du Yuchen, a 2015 graduate of the School of Statistics who is currently working at one of the Big Four, to share his experiences and insights from working there. The event was hosted by counselor Teacher Yao Liming.

Alumni Du Yuchen first introduced his interview experience and preparation tips before entering the Big Four; then he shared his work experience over the past two years and the current horizontal comparison of the Big Four in China, giving students a preliminary understanding of working in the Big Four.

In response to the questions raised by the students, alumnus Du Yuchen provided detailed answers, sharing his insights on the promotion paths, work pressure, work intensity, etc., at the Big Four; he also compared his own experience with those of classmates working at banks and brokerage firms, highlighting the differences between the Big Four and other financial industries such as banking, brokerage firms, and investment banking.

Finally, the students discussed the issue of their first official job with alumnus Du Yuchen and teacher Yao Liming. Alumnus Du Yuchen believes that the most important factor for the first job is having a sufficiently large platform, as it can broaden one's horizons. Teacher Yao Liming thinks that, compared to salary and benefits, it is more important to consider one's future development space. The salon concluded in a relaxed and lively atmosphere.
