On September 21, 2024, in the season of fragrant osmanthus, alumni of the Department of Statistics of 1984 gathered on campus to celebrate their 40th anniversary of graduation, relive their campus years, and continue their alma mater friendship.
Yang Hui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Statistics and Management, and Zhuang Mei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, warmly welcomed the alumni who came from afar and provided a detailed introduction to the development of the school in recent years. After the symposium, alumni moved to the front of the college building to hold the "1984 Alumni Donation Tree Unveiling Ceremony". Secretary Yang Hui presented donation certificates to the alumni of the 1984 cohort on behalf of the college. On the lush and beautiful ginkgo tree hangs an exclusive nameplate, which will become a bond between the 1984 alumni of statistics and their alma mater to maintain emotions and enhance friendship.
