On August 30, 2025, the end of summer had quietly begun to feel the coolness of early autumn. The Alumni Branch of the School of Statistics and Data Science of the Shanghai Finance and Economics Alumni Association successfully held the Shanghai Finance and Economics Alumni Art Practice and Family Day event at the Jiayuanhai Art Museum in Jiading. More than ten groups of alumni families gathered here to relive their camaraderie and brew golden memories through artistic influence and rural wildness.
Alumni families arrived at the art museum one after another in the afternoon. The check-in counter was filled with laughter, old and new friends exchanged greetings, and the light and shadow scattered in the art museum hall became the first beautiful scenery.
After a brief welcome ceremony, the traditional Tang fruit making experience kicked off. Under the guidance of professional teachers, alumni and children learn production skills together. Everyone skillfully kneaded the bean paste and glutinous rice into exquisite and elegant tangguo. A pair of focused eyes, gradually forming fruits, are not only the joy of handmade crafts, but also the elegant charm of each period.
After the Tang Guozi production activity, the professional guide of the art museum led everyone into the realm of art. Shuttling between exhibition halls, alumni immerse themselves in the dialogue of light, shadow, and color, or stop in front of a painting to exchange ideas. Knowledge and aesthetics quietly flow at this moment.
After the indoor activity is completed, everyone moves to the outdoor vineyard. Under the trellis, there are abundant fruits emitting a sweet fragrance. Parents and children join hands to pick them, and the basket is gradually filled not only with sunshine roses, but also with the joy of autumn harvest.
In the evening, alumni returned with a full load of grapes, and the alumni salon opened warmly in the twilight. Li Yuhai's alumni family carefully prepared Xinjiang tourism routes and guide introductions. Alumni families sit together and enthusiastically share their travel experiences in Xinjiang, discussing the beautiful scenery, cuisine, history, and culture of Xinjiang.
Yang Qingyu, Deputy Secretary General of the Alumni Association, stated that the alumni art education practice and family day activities not only effectively enhance alumni friendship, but also extend alumni activities more widely to alumni families, which is an important innovation in alumni work. Jiang Guowei, Executive President of the Alumni Association of the college, pointed out that the combination of aesthetic education and practice not only enriches the cultural life of alumni, but also promotes family parent-child relationships. The Executive Secretary General of Guanzhouhai stated that in the future, the Alumni Branch of the School of Statistics will continue to hold similar activities to build more communication platforms for alumni.
Alumni families have expressed that the alumni art education practice and family day activities are not only a gathering, but also a spiritual voyage.
