The cold wind after the beginning of winter cannot stop the footsteps of returning home. On November 8, 2025, coinciding with the "Alumni Homecoming Day" of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, the 1985 and 2005 alumni of statistics gathered on campus from all directions with longing and attachment to their alma mater, celebrating its 108th anniversary, revisiting their youth, discussing the development of their alma mater, and reminiscing about their friendship as classmates.
Alumni from the 85th and 05th classes arrived in front of the college building early in the morning, greeted by long lost reunions, and the air suddenly warmed up. In the 1208 conference room of the college, the 85th alumni held a class meeting for 40 years after graduation. Yang Hui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Statistics and Data Science, extends the warmest welcome and sincerest greetings to the alumni who have come from afar on behalf of the school. She provided a detailed overview of the development of the college in various aspects in recent years, from subject introductions to faculty building, from talent cultivation to scientific research, from social services to alumni work. Each achievement embodies the hard work and sweat of the college's faculty and students. Alumni Wang Xiaoqiang of the 85th class announced the "Management Measures for the 81st Statistical Alumni Fund of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics" and the 81st Statistical Alumni Special Scholarship Program, and alumni have taken practical actions to help the college cultivate talents.
