01 Personal Growth
Since my freshman year, I have been serving as the organization and publicity committee member of the class, leading the class to hold multiple themed group day activities together with the Youth League branch secretary. These activities not only enhanced the cohesion of the class, but also provided me with training and improvement in organization and coordination. During my tenure as a student affairs officer at the Student Union, I actively participated in and organized on campus activities, providing students with a rich extracurricular life and cultivating my leadership skills and teamwork spirit.
During my sophomore year, I had the privilege of participating in the theme event of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China - the Blue Garden Cup Choral Competition. This event not only deepened my understanding of the history and spirit of the Party, but also allowed me to experience the power and sense of honor of collective cooperation. During rehearsals and competitions, our classmates in the class worked closely together and demonstrated excellent team spirit and musical talent.
In addition, I have actively participated in multiple social practice activities. As a member of the Thousand Villages Survey, I delved into rural grassroots to understand the local economic and social development situation, which gave me a deeper understanding of the current situation in rural China. The back to school preaching activity gave me the opportunity to share my observations and experiences from college with the younger students at my high school alma mater, inspiring them to strive for their dreams. Participating in the national college student market research activity has exposed me to the real business environment and honed my market analysis and research skills.
02 Volunteer Service
Since entering university, I have actively participated in various volunteer activities, giving back to society through practical actions, enriching my life experience, and constantly improving myself.
From September 2020 to June 2021, I served as a volunteer in the maintenance room of the Computer Association at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, responsible for solving students' computer maintenance problems and software installation. This experience not only enhanced my technical skills, but also cultivated my qualities of attentiveness and patience.
In April 2021, I served as a volunteer at the East COVID-19 Vaccination Center in Shanghai, mainly responsible for guiding visitors and maintaining the order of the venue. At the critical moment of epidemic prevention and control, I deeply feel my great responsibility and am proud to be able to contribute to society. From September to November of the same year, I served as a volunteer guide at the former residence of Lu Xun in Shanghai, independently leading tourists to visit and explain the life and history of Mr. Lu Xun's former residence. This experience not only honed my language expression skills, but also gave me a deeper understanding of China's history and culture. In September 2021, I also participated in the first aid course training at Yangpu Library in Shanghai and assisted in maintaining order at the venue. Continuing on in Wujiaochang Street, as an anti fraud volunteer, I was responsible for the production of bulletin boards and on-site promotion work for the community service center, enhancing my teamwork and organizational skills.
Through these volunteer services and social practice activities, I not only enhanced my overall quality, but also deeply experienced the joy and satisfaction of helping others. I hope to continue to participate in more volunteer services and social practices in the future, contribute my own strength to society, and constantly grow and progress.
Especially, I am fortunate to have participated in volunteer work at the China International Import Expo for two consecutive years. In 2022, the 5th CIIE, as a first-year student, I, like everyone else, found this large-scale event work novel and unfamiliar. At that time, it happened to be during the epidemic period, and I needed to quarantine for two weeks in advance to participate in volunteer service work. The entire time process was very long. Basically, we lived in a hotel for a month, living a life of two points and one line. The nucleic acid test after being laid off every day was an essential part. Although not so "free", I met and got to know a group of friends with a common intention - to help CIIE, and finally successfully completed all the on-the-job service work; A year has passed quickly, and in 2023, I will meet Jinbo again. This time, my identity will be changed to an auxiliary management position, and I will work together with the partners of the research and support team to lead the team and participate in various tasks such as publicity, recruitment, training, job services, and logistics support for Jinbo volunteers. During my two-year journey to enter the PhD, while my identity changed, I also saw my own growth.
03 Inheritance of Fireworks
The first time I learned that the graduate student teaching support team was going to push the timeline back to my freshman year, I invited the members of that year's research support team as guests for the back to school promotion activity during winter vacation. That moment left a deep memory in my heart. I personally have the following reasons for choosing the research and support group: Firstly, I have had an idea about volunteer teaching services for a long time, which is something I have always said: if given the opportunity, I must go to volunteer teaching once! Although we are college students, we have enough enthusiasm and sense of responsibility. We have mentioned an important slogan: go to the west, go to the grassroots, and go to the places where our country needs it the most! Cultivating talents for the Party and the country, writing youth on the land of our motherland, is a very worthwhile and meaningful thing.
And what is' passing on the torch '? In the summer of 2017, the practice team from Tianjin University came to our high school and held a summer camp. They led us to many novel and interesting activities, which were full of novelty for us at that time. Everyone had a great time, and at the same time, this experience planted a small seed in our hearts, inspiring us to study hard in the days to come. For me personally, signing up for the graduate student teaching support group is a continuation of this' passing on the torch '. We have grown up now and become the people who once inspired and motivated us, which is a kind of educational feedback. This is also the significance of generations of educators - to pass on knowledge and hope to the next generation through their own efforts and dedication. The core spirit of education is to pass on the torch from generation to generation and pass it on from generation to generation.
04 Everything has a response
I will do my best to do every little thing well, because I believe that having a response to everything is very important. This is necessary in learning, research, competitions, tasks assigned by teachers, plans implemented by team leaders, and task handovers between superiors and subordinates in work. I really like a classic quote by Romain Rolland: "There is only one heroism in the world, which is to love life even after seeing the truth of it." This sentence inspires me to constantly record, recall, reflect, and make progress on the path of growth. The process of efficiently completing planning may be a bit arduous, but there will be a strong sense of achievement after completion. These are also some small habits that I hope to pass on to my younger students as "j" people~
