Life is rare. One... two... three confusions
What? Cauchy Schwarz inequality? Cauchy washing socks? Let's play two games first. So in my freshman year, I scored 61 points in a basic course with great humility, and I am grateful to the teacher for not failing.
My biggest hobby in my sophomore year was night running, which was the kind of night run where I accidentally ran to Helens and ordered 9 bottles of ¥ 9.8 Corona for only 20 cents with a discount of 88 for every 88. However, surprisingly, my grades improved.
In my junior year, I faced a bunch of professional courses, and the problem of not having a solid foundation became even more prominent. I felt a bit confused and my grades were declining all the way. Three years have passed in a blink of an eye, and it can be said that I don't know anything.

It's better not to choose if you can't
Graduation is approaching, facing the question of whether to go abroad or take the postgraduate entrance examination, where to take the postgraduate entrance examination, and which major to take. By chance, I learned about the preferential policies for joining the military, so my dilemma shifted to whether to go abroad, take the postgraduate entrance examination, or join the army. Until a senior fellow townsman woke me up, 'Nowadays, college students have too many choices.'. I just realized that I have been looking left and right all along, without making up my mind to do something. Without determination, it is difficult to succeed in any choice. So it's better to leave yourself with no choice, fill out your military volunteer list, and dedicate your youth to the motherland.

Do difficult things, there must be gains
I should be considered someone with a heavy ideological burden, always remembering my hometown Yimeng Mountain. Yimeng Mountain is a revolutionary old area, and everyone takes pride in joining the army; Remember that my ancestors also participated in the revolution; Remember that our retired senior students at the University of Finance and Economics are all excellent, we cannot bring shame to our alma mater. From the moment I joined the new recruits' company, I firmly believed in being a good soldier, driven by the determination not to let down the revolutionary bloodline and the cultivation of my alma mater.
Ideals are beautiful, but reality is tough. My small body, which has been playing games and drinking alcohol for three years, really lacks exercise. The push ups that I couldn't finish with morning exercises, the struggle on the horizontal bar that was comparable to hanging pork, and the most headache inducing physical fitness test every week all made me a bit overwhelmed. In line with the concept of "as long as you can't die, practice in the dead", I also forgot how many times I felt like my eyes were about to go black. I gritted my teeth and slowly adapted to the training, and also understood the joy of constantly pushing my limits.
Just arrived as a new recruit for over a month, our unit organized us to write letters from home. (I still remember secretly asking for an extra envelope and sending it to my current girlfriend) Later, during the super fulfilling training every day, I had forgotten about the letter, but suddenly received a six page reply from my father.
This letter deeply touched me, who was physically and mentally exhausted at that time. The last piece of cloth is used as military uniform, the last bite of rice is used as military food, and the last son is sent to the battlefield. "More than seventy years ago, revolutionary predecessors used their blood to defend national dignity on the battlefield, and some used their flesh and blood to support the lifeline of their troops in the front line. As a descendant of Yimeng and a member of the People's Army in the new era, I should inherit and carry forward the Yimeng Mountain spirit of "water and milk blending, life and death sharing". Therefore, my belief in hard training and striving to become a model soldier has become even stronger. Later on, this letter was also published on the official WeChat account of People's Daily and briefly made it to the hot search. The letter was also fortunate enough to be recommended for inclusion in our school's history museum. The new recruit platoon has ended, and my efforts have paid off. Not only have my physical fitness improved to a certain extent, but I have also been awarded the title of "Good Warrior for Loving the Army and Practicing Martial Arts". Later, when I joined the old company, I continued to carry forward the spirit of daring to compete and performed excellently in assessments and unit evaluations. I was awarded the title of "Four Haves" Outstanding Soldier and commended.
During my two years of military life, I have always believed in the words of Major General Jin Yinan: 'If you do something difficult, you will gain something.'. Young people should constantly do difficult things and challenge themselves, not only gaining physical training, but also spiritual refinement and progress.
Around the Spring Festival of 2021, as a newcomer to the old company, I was still busy adapting to the new work pace. A report titled 'Heroes Standing on the Karakoram Mountains' ignited everyone's fighting spirit. Watching border soldiers of our age bravely sacrifice themselves in conflicts to defend national dignity and territorial integrity. It is said that joining the army is honorable, but only by becoming a part of this glorious collective can one truly experience the tremendous spiritual power that this group of inexperienced young people can unleash at critical moments.
After retiring from the military and returning to school, although there were many difficulties in learning, I thought about how many times I gritted my teeth and managed to get things done during my time in the army, so naturally there was nothing difficult to say and I smoothly returned to the right track.
