Round and round, fate returns to wealth
Upon careful calculation, 2023 marks the seventh year that I have been in a relationship with Shangcai and the Imperial Household Agency. At the time of my undergraduate graduation in 2020, coinciding with the pandemic, I had originally planned to study abroad and had to temporarily start my master's program through online courses. But online courses ultimately lack a good sense of experience, so I used my spare time to prepare for our college's professional master's program. Perhaps due to a deep connection with the National Institute of Statistics, I ultimately decided to suspend my overseas courses and return to this familiar place, embarking on my second journey of financial success.

Slowly and slowly, long and brilliant
The master's program in Applied Statistics is a two-year program, so the arrangements are relatively tight. We need to consider internships and graduation theses while completing the course studies. Some of my classmates have already found internships during the summer vacation, while others have been preparing for them since the beginning of their postgraduate studies. In short, as a professional master's program, the atmosphere of internships is quite strong. Compared to that, my internship journey seems more 'Buddhist style'. In the first week of my first year of graduate school, I became the only professional master's student assistant in the college office. In the fragmented time of the office, like my master's and doctoral classmates, I flipped through textbooks and consolidated my professional knowledge. Although the internship experience of a professional master's degree is very important, I still hope to learn more statistical knowledge in two years and build a solid professional foundation. Although it may seem a bit slow, I always hope to live up to my identity as a statistics major student. I was quite surprised to be ranked first in my class in terms of comprehensive grades during my first year of graduate school. The professional abilities of my classmates are equally matched, and I believe my strength lies in my self-discipline and non procrastination attitude. Whether it's during normal school classes or when I was confined to my dormitory due to the pandemic, I basically maintained the habit of waking up early to study and complete course tasks as soon as possible. Using self-discipline to exchange for freedom has always been my consistent attitude.
03
Down to earth, wholeheartedly responsible
At the beginning of my first year of graduate school, by chance, I became the class's Youth League Secretary. At the same time, as a party member, I also served as the publicity committee member of the graduate student party branch of the college. These roles have given me more opportunities to engage with various student work, learn work skills from experienced teachers and classmates, and enhance my communication and coordination skills. When I first took over the work of the Youth League branch secretary, coupled with the tight schedule of my first-year graduate courses, my work pace was still a bit flustered. But with the help of other class committee and youth league teachers, my organization gradually became clearer, and I was able to handle my subsequent work with ease. Maintaining a diligent and responsible attitude, completing every task and requirement with a down-to-earth approach, and being perfectionist towards oneself, the experience accumulated in these jobs has also laid the foundation for my subsequent internship practice.
04
Chasing the star of 'core', walking tirelessly
Different from most of the students in my major, some of them aim at Internet giants, and some focus on the financial industry, while my internship experience is relatively "miscellaneous". Since my undergraduate studies, I have had internships in data analysis and industry research. During my master's degree, I have also had internships in college management, eBay business analysis, and on-the-job training in Putuo District. I have been trying in various ways, constantly exploring my favorite and suitable work direction. During the summer internship and autumn recruitment phase, I also prepared for both preparing for exams and interviewing for major companies and enterprises. Finally, based on my personality and goals, and perhaps due to the sentiment of a party member, I chose to work as a civil servant and enter the system. Focusing on my own needs and long-term goal planning is the main tone of my job search journey. I may not be able to fully utilize what I have learned in my current position, but I believe that its impact on my way of thinking and the training of my data analysis skills will greatly benefit my long-term career path.
