On November 7, 2023, our institute invited Mr. Wang Enxu from Ant Group to give a lecture on "Artificial Intelligence, General Artificial Intelligence, and Us (AI, AGI&I)" at this industry forum.
Mr. Wang Enxu is the co-founder and deputy general manager of Ant Group Sesame Enterprise Credit. He has served as the product director of Ant Technology Group's artificial intelligence department, deputy general manager of Ant Technology Group's comprehensive risk management department, and senior manager of PwC management consulting. At the same time, as a technology investor, he has participated in investments in multiple logistics, fintech, and science and technology innovation enterprises.
Mr. Wang Enxu first revealed the development history of DI, BI, AI, and AGI from three steps: information, models, and actions, explaining the concepts and differences between AI and AGI. At the same time, it also explained to everyone what is explicit knowledge, tacit knowledge, and tacit knowledge, detailing that although tacit knowledge cannot be expressed or felt, machines can understand it. The emergence of 'dark knowledge' will increase the dimension of knowledge and greatly expand human vision.
Next, Mr. Wang Enxu introduced the reasons and main breakthroughs for the sudden explosive development of AGI from the aspects of information accumulation, algorithm transformation, and computing power improvement, and introduced models such as transformer to everyone. The images generated by some models vividly demonstrate the power of algorithms, and based on this, discuss some topics about algorithm monetization.
Meanwhile, Mr. Wang Enxu demonstrated through a video that AGI has brought tremendous breakthroughs to the VR field, demonstrating that the idea of realizing a virtual world has taken a big step forward. In addition, he also discussed with everyone the changes that AGI has brought to fields such as finance and healthcare, revealing the main development trends, research directions, work directions, and investment directions of AGI from seven dimensions: leading algorithms, big data collection, computing, domain knowledge, ecosystem construction, full stack talent, and governance of risk.
During the questioning session, students actively raised their doubts and asked questions about information security, the development of the metaverse, and other aspects. Mr. Wang Enxu patiently provided answers and detailed examples and explanations. Through this industry forum, everyone has gained a deeper understanding of general artificial intelligence, cutting-edge algorithms, and application scenarios.
