In order to implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, cultivate outstanding innovative talents, and promote the construction of campus culture for innovation and entrepreneurship, the School of Statistics and Data Science has carried out a mid-term inspection of the 2025 College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Plan project in accordance with the school's requirements, and strictly organized and implemented the defense and evaluation in accordance with the requirements.
On the morning of October 12th, the mid-term defense of the 2025 College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program of the School of Statistics and Data Science was successfully held in Conference Room 208 of the main building of the college. This event specially invited teachers Zhu Qianqian, Han Miao, and Wang Shouxia from the School of Statistics and Data Science to serve as judges.

A total of 15 project teams participated in this mid-term inspection, and each group of students reported in detail on their respective topics, including the project overview, progress, and follow-up arrangements. Three teachers affirmed the project content of each group of students and conducted a comprehensive evaluation of each project from multiple dimensions such as academic standardization, technical feasibility, and innovation, based on their profound academic background and rich research experience. They pointed out the problems that students encountered in their previous research and provided valuable suggestions and guidance on how to carry out subsequent projects.





The School of Statistics and Data Science has always regarded innovation and entrepreneurship education as an important part of talent cultivation, and strives to enhance students' innovation and practical abilities through practical platforms such as big innovation projects, statistical modeling competitions, and the Zhengda Cup. In the future, our college will continue to adhere to the people-oriented approach, rely on the Shanghai First Class Undergraduate Construction Leading Plan project, further strengthen the undergraduate training model with a solid foundation and broad vision, enhance students' ability to choose diversified development, improve the construction of undergraduate practical and innovative training platforms and professional scientific research training platforms, provide more opportunities for students to participate in scientific research and innovation, and cultivate composite statistical talents with international perspectives.
