To explore the imprint of red finance and inherit the spirit of patriotism and hard work, Teacher Xiong Jufeng, the counselor for undergraduate freshmen at the School of Statistics and Data Science at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, led 30 students from the Statistical Base Class to visit the China Securities Museum on the afternoon of September 19, conducting a new student political ideology class themed "Knowing History, Loving the Country."
Located in Shanghai, the China Securities Museum is like a treasure house, housing numerous rare securities artifacts, including precious relics such as late Qing Dynasty stocks, red securities, and modern trading equipment. It systematically preserves important witnesses to the development of China’s capital market, narrating the development trajectory of the Chinese securities industry, and showcasing the significant contributions of red finance to national independence, national liberation, and economic construction during different historical periods.
Entering the museum, the students first visited the Peacock Hall on the first floor. As the first trading hall of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, it not only features "red vests" and "yellow vests," but also the old eight stocks of Shanghai, as well as Fan Erlin's transfer of Fei Le Sound.

Subsequently, the students walked into the special exhibition on Zhou Enlai's Red Footprints in Shanghai, personally stepping into the sanctuary of Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao. Hearing the story of how they concealed their identities for more than two months at the Lichachuan Hotel, relying solely on supplies from the underground Communist Party, and seeing the messages Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao left for the youth, the students became even more determined to study statistics well and to show patriotism and serve the country.
Finally, the students visited the "Rongtong Economy—Exhibition of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Securities." The yellowed tickets hung in the air like pages of history fluttering, and the bronze statues vividly recreated scenes of the past. In this moment, the students experienced the integration of financial history and red memories, touching the historical context of China's capital market in this century-old building.
After visiting the China Securities Museum, the students went to the fourth floor to attend an anti-fraud lecture themed "Preventing Telecom Fraud and Combating Cybercrime." Police officers from the Xuhui District Public Security Bureau analyzed cases such as "fraudulent online loans" and "fake order rebates," which are prevalent on campus, breaking down the tactics used by fraudsters and teaching students how to identify risks and protect personal information.
Visiting the China Securities Museum is a profound journey of "knowing history and loving the country" through red education. Here, students see not just securities and artifacts, but also the original intention and mission of the Communist Party of China to seek happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation. It represents the enormous efforts and sacrifices made by countless revolutionary pioneers and the masses for national independence, ethnic liberation, and economic development. These red securities imprints inspire us to carry forward and promote the spirit of patriotism in the new era, to stay true to our original aspirations, to forge ahead, and to contribute our solid statistical knowledge to the realization of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
